As a Senior SMB Sales Representative at Lenovo, you will take a strategic leadership role in driving revenue and profit growth while expanding Lenovo's market presence within the small to medium business (SMB) sector. You will own the full sales cycle — from lead generation to close — while also supporting the development of other team members, contributing to special cross-functional initiatives, and playing a key role in shaping customer engagement strategies. Your portfolio will span Lenovo's cutting-edge technology solutions, including laptops, desktops, workstations, servers, storage, accessories, software, and professional services.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced and high-performing sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding revenue and profitability targets in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate strong business acumen, the ability to lead by example, and a passion for developing others while taking on special strategic assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute complex sales strategies to achieve both short- and long-term revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Independently manage a high-performing book of business, including acquisition, growth, and retention accounts.
- Collaborate with internal product, marketing, and services teams to align sales plans with go-to-market strategies.
- Embracing new technologies; like AI
- Training & Mentorship
- Provide mentorship and coaching to SMB Sales Representatives, supporting onboarding, product training, and sales methodology adoption.
- Lead training sessions, knowledge sharing forums, and peer learning initiatives to upskill the broader team.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Lenovo’s product and services portfolio within the SMB sales organization.
- Strategic Projects & Initiatives
- Represent the SMB sales team in cross-functional working groups focused on improving tools, customer experience, and market penetration strategies.
- Contribute to pilot programs, new sales processes, or CRM initiatives and report on outcomes to sales leadership.
- Analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations for territory development and process optimization.
- Customer Engagement & Solution Selling
- Develop long-term, trusted advisor relationships with SMB clients by understanding their evolving IT and business needs.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to position Lenovo solutions as transformative to the client’s business operations.
- Own the quote-to-close process, including configuring, pricing, and negotiating solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Performance & Accountability
- Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for revenue, margin, and services attach rate.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast data using CRM systems and report performance metrics to management.
- Contribute to Lenovo’s culture of excellence by maintaining high customer satisfaction and advocating for client success.
Position Qualifications:
Basic:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of inside or outside sales experience; or
- High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of professional sales experience
Preferred:
- 4+ years of sales experience in the IT or technology sector
- Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying role with increasing levels of responsibility
- Experience mentoring or training junior sales team members
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and ability to analyze and interpret sales data
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and team collaboration
