Role Overview:
As Lenovo expands its commercial operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a highly skilled, seasoned, and native Arabic-speaking contract lawyer to join our Global Contract Team (GCT) EMEA. In this key role, you will provide expert contract support and legal risk assessment, partnering closely with internal stakeholders both locally and across Lenovo’s global business teams. The successful candidate will draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad portfolio of complex commercial agreements under Lenovo’s global contracting framework, ensuring compliance with regional and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of contracts, including sales agreements for DaaS, Infrastructure, SaaS, hardware products, Private/Public Bids and RFPs, purchase and subcontracting agreements, licensing, channel, service, and procurement contracts relevant to Lenovo’s Saudi Arabian operations and, when necessary, the wider EMEA region.
- Ensure all contracts align with Lenovo’s global policies and comply with Saudi Arabian legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, finance, and other internal teams to review contract terms, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice during contract negotiations with both private sector and public sector customers. Prior experience with Saudi public sector contracting is highly desirable.
- Monitor and analyse local legal and regulatory developments affecting contracting, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Utilize Lenovo’s contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., ONIT) to manage contract requests, maintain documentation, and liaise with business stakeholders.
- Support legal operations initiatives and continuous process improvements related to contract lifecycle management.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in-house or at a law firm with some direct work experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a strong focus on commercial contracts.
- Law degree from a recognized university in EMEA.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working with diverse international and Saudi teams.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with internal business leaders, external customers, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated capability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality legal advice.
- Balanced risk management approach aligned with business objectives and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.
