Sr. Instructional Designer, ISO Sales Enablement Academy
The International Sales Organization (ISO) Sales Enablement Academy (SEA) charter is to ensure Lenovo’s global teams of sellers, both direct and channel, are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors to be the premier sales force in the market.
As a Senior Instructional Designer within the ISO SEA team, you will design, develop, and deliver engaging, high-impact digital learning experiences for Lenovo’s global sales teams, channel partners, and customer-facing audiences. You will be responsible for creating end-to-end learning assets such as eLearning courses, videos, job aids, virtual training, and AI-enabled learning aligned with business goals and learner needs.
This role requires strong instructional design expertise and advanced development skills. You will collaborate with other instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and product subject matter experts (SMEs) to create persona-based digital learning solutions. You may lead the full project life cycle or support other team members across initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Sales Enablement Academy (SEA) by designing and delivering learning experiences—including Talk Tracks, onboarding journeys, and certification programs—aligned to SEA’s four strategic pillars: product knowledge, sales methodology, core competencies, and customer-facing messaging.
Design and create engaging and effective eLearning, video, and instructor-led courses. This includes creating SCORM content using Storyline 360, Articulate 360 and other e-Learning tools.
Build interactive SCORM-compliant modules, quizzes, and simulations; record and edit audio; conduct QA testing; and maintain/update existing learning materials.
Create instructional design documents such as storyboards, scripts, media lists and assessment tools in accordance with defined style guides such as Brand, instructional design and editorial.
Perform comprehensive needs analysis to assess a customer’s learning situation, expectations, resources, constraints, learning needs, learning gaps, and tasks in relation to the organization’s mission and goals.
Conduct training needs assessment, analysis
Actively participate in special projects, initiatives, and programs as required
Maintain relevant project documentation
Documents progress/status of assigned tasks for review by others
Reports regularly to Project Manager and informs other team members on assignments and progress
Remains current with technology tools and trends in digital learning
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, business, or a related field
3 – 5 years of experience developing courses and other types of learning content
2+ years of hands-on experience with eLearning authoring tools, simulations, or video-based content.
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with strong creative thinking ability
Ability to work independently without supervision as well in collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Solid understanding of digital learning instructional methods, learning science, and design strategies
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Flexibility to adapt to meet changing business requirements
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
Experience creating training programs for global or multilingual audiences
