We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Compliance Counsel to join our Legal team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the company’s global operations adhere to applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, with a focus on cross-border regulatory risks, with the focus of semiconductor industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance-by-design in global expansion strategies.
- Conduct compliance due diligence for internal operation and external partners
- Perform jurisdiction-specific risk assessments before entry to oversea markets
- Monitor developments and advise on how regulatory trends (e.g., outbound investment review, localization requirements, data security) may impact operational or compliance risks across various jurisdictions.
- Conduct contracts and legal documents review and participate in related commercial negotiations – all in support of the relevant commercial attorney
Job Requirements:
1. Work Experience:
8-12 years of working experience in international investment regulatory compliance in an international law firm and multinational company, with computer, communication, information technology, semiconductor, or related industry experience. Semiconductor industry experience is a must.
2. Education requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or above from a famous law school, with a cross-education background in computer, communication, information technology, or other related majors. Overseas study experience is preferred, along with experience in, or exposure to, the semiconductor industry.
3. Language Requirements:
①Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
②Other local language in Asia is a plus.
4. Qualification Requirements:
①Passing the judicial examination in either China or US.
②Legal Qualification in other jurisdiction is a plus.
5. Other qualifications:
The successful candidate with be an enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and to perform under time pressure. The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a great team player, ready to take on new challenges. Finally, the company is a large, multi-national company so the ability to communicate and coordinate with teams of different cultures and styles to find effective and balanced solutions will be very important.
