Work Location: Akihabara UDX Headquarters (Designated smoking area available on the 5th floor of UDX)
Employment Type: Full-time employee (6-month probation period)
Compensation: Determined based on experience and skills
Working Hours: 9:00–17:45 (1-hour lunch break, 12:00–13:00)

Lenovo is a leading global IT company with annual revenues of approximately $57 billion (¥8.7 trillion). In addition to its leadership in PCs, Lenovo is rapidly expanding into non-PC areas, including smart devices, AI-enabled devices, infrastructure, software, and services.
The Global Digital Transformation (DT) team drives enterprise-wide digital initiatives across Lenovo, its subsidiaries, and joint ventures. Two years ago, an APAC-focused DT strategy team was established to lead region-wide strategy planning and execution. Japan, as one of Lenovo’s most critical markets, requires urgent transformation in its DT initiatives. This role seeks a leader based in Japan who can drive technology strategy across APAC while collaborating with the Worldwide organization.
【Role Overview】
The Asia Pacific Director, Digital Transformation will oversee the planning and execution of digital transformation strategies across the APAC region. This role maximizes regional business impact while acting as a bridge to global strategies. It leverages AI and automation to drive business growth, cost efficiency, and organizational digital maturity, with influence spanning the APAC region including Japan.
【Key Responsibilities】
1. Business Partnership & Transparency
o Serve as the “eyes and ears” of the DT team in APAC, ensuring transparency between the central DT team and regional business units
o Accurately capture regional business needs and incorporate them into transformation programs
o Support problem-solving and foster alignment and buy-in for transformation initiatives
2. DT Strategy Design & Implementation
o Lead the rollout of strategic digital initiatives across APAC to maximize impact
o Drive change management and stakeholder engagement across projects
o Hold strategic execution authority and decision-making power across the region, including Japan
3. Advisory & Innovation Leadership
o Provide strategic advice on digital transformation and AI initiatives to GEO and Worldwide leaders
o Translate global industry trends into actionable insights for the APAC market
o Oversee regional digital maturity improvement and innovation adoption
o Leverage AI and solution-based services to contribute to business growth and cost efficiency
o Act as a bridge between complex regional and functional interests (SSG, IDG, ISG)

Gain experience in complex organizational bridging, global negotiation, and strategic decision-making
Influence key markets in Japan and APAC while utilizing cultural understanding and execution capability
Lenovo’s flexible approach in Japan allows for rapid implementation of innovative initiatives
【Required Experience & Skills】
1. Digital Transformation & Strategy
o 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, strategy, or business operations
o Proven track record in leveraging AI, RPA, data platforms, or solution-based services to drive business impact
o Experience leading large-scale projects (domestic and international) from strategy to execution
2. Management & Leadership
o Direct management of teams of 5+
o Ability to lead both strategy formulation and execution
o Demonstrated influence across functions and countries
o Experience leading global decision-making and negotiations
3. Business Acumen & Communication
o Deep understanding of APAC business culture, especially Japan
o Ability to provide strategic advice to senior executives and drive execution among mid-level managers
o Strong cross-cultural communication, able to translate global strategy to local business context
o Skilled in storytelling to simplify complex digital strategies for business stakeholders
4. Education & Languages
o Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s/MBA) preferred
o Fluent in Japanese and English (reading, writing, speaking)

Experience in business management, growth initiatives, cost control, or P&L improvement
Conversational Chinese for business context
Business or technology-related certifications or advanced degrees
