About Organization
Lenovo Japan Yokohama Office (Yamato Laboratory) is core development center of ThinkPad notebook PC products, and Device Driver development will be assigned to Solution & Ecosystem team under its organization.

Roles and responsibilities
ThinkPad Audio development expert to maximize product differentiating value by following works:
1. Leading Audio design development activities of ThinkPad laptop/tablet products
2. In charge of circuit design, acoustic design, and manufacturing support.
Responsible for the hardware design of ThinkPad audio systems, including:
- Audio Codec/Smart AMP related circuit design in System
- Performance optimization of speakers and microphones
- Testing of audio-related functions
- Supporting factory-side testing and debugging
- Providing technical guidance to ODMs on audio-related tasks
- Participating PoC design for audio innovation projects to enhance product audio experience and competitiveness

Requirements
Must Have – essential
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in audio design development for hardware, including design reviews for IT products such as laptops, tablet PCs, mobile phones, communication devices, home appliances, and automobiles.
- Extensive experience in formulating long-term technology strategies based on industry trends, along with the development of innovative, next-generation audio design concepts.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Japanese and English (TOEIC score of 730 or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving and HW debugging skills. Experienced with schematic and layout design using tools
Good to have – desirable
- Experience with schematic and layout design using Cadence or CR8000
- Proven expertise in the design, evaluation, and optimization of speaker and microphone systems
- Experience with Audio Device Driver, DSP, Speaker effect and MIC effect development.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication in Chinese.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and processing units, including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, ASICs, and AI accelerators.
- Skill in debugging device drivers
