Description and Requirements
The General Procurement organization is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing spend for all non-production goods or services used internally by Lenovo. It includes spend categories such as Marketing, IT Services, Real Estate, Travel, Workforce, Strategy, Business Services, HR Services, and R&D Services. The General Procurement team is responsible for leading the following activities for Lenovo:
• Supporting business unit/budget owner (our internal stakeholders) on spend requirements and strategies;
• Leading sourcing activities for supplier selection and cost optimization;
• Negotiating Supplier agreements to ensure competitive pricing and service delivery;
• Ensuring appropriate business controls are in place to protect Lenovo;
• Managing Supplier performance via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics.
As a Regional Procurement Manager, this candidate will be responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimizing the purchase of goods and services on all indirect buys for DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). He/she should have experience in the related field and the desire to engage Lenovo’s internal stakeholders with superior procurement support, working with our Global Commodity Managers (GCM’s) to leverage worldwide spend on strategic categories.
The candidate will be responsible for four (4) primary business metrics:
• Manage and optimize Lenovo’s Spend with external suppliers, generating Procurement Value-Add (Savings and Cost-Avoidance) for Lenovo;
• Drive Customer Satisfaction (Serviceability) for our internal Lenovo executives and operations teams through Supplier selection and engagement;
• Ensure adequate Business Controls are in place surrounding sourcing, contracts, spending, and supplier management;
• Drive best practices and transformation activities to ensure continuous improvement;
Role Requirements
- Experience in procurement across categories like Marketing, IT, HR, and Real Estate.
- Strong negotiation skills for supplier agreements and cost optimization.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and support budget owners with procurement strategies.
- Knowledge of compliance and business controls in sourcing and supplier management.
