Description and Requirements
Lenovo is seeking a Junior ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing development, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the ServiceNow platform, be eager to learn, and work closely with senior developers, architects, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions for global customers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development, configuration, and customization of ServiceNow applications, including modules like Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, and CMDB.
Work with Senior Developers and Architects to design and implement workflows, business rules, and integrations.
Support Service Portal development, including widgets, client/server scripting, and UI customization.
Participate in requirement analysis sessions and translate functional needs into technical tasks.
Perform unit testing, UAT support, and issue resolution during implementation and post-deployment phases.
Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for developed features.
Support integration activities with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including root cause analysis.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ServiceNow best practices.
Required Skills
2–4 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow concepts such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Catalog Development.
Familiarity with Service Portal development (widgets, HTML, CSS, AngularJS).
Exposure to REST/SOAP integration with external systems.
Good understanding of ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Problem, Request).
Basic knowledge of database concepts (SQL).
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills
ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator) certification (preferred).
ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Exposure to Performance Analytics or Discovery is a plus.
