As a Datacenter Sales Specialist (m/f/d) for the Public Sector, you will drive both strategic and operational sales of Lenovo’s datacenter solutions across the West Germany region. You will engage directly with municipalities, state authorities, public institutions, and other government-related organizations to develop long-term, trusted customer relationships.
Working closely with our Public Sector Key Account team, channel partners, and technical experts, you will play a key role in expanding Lenovo’s datacenter footprint in the public market. This role requires regular travel within the region and the ability to collaborate in an international, hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business plans in alignment with the OneLenovo Client Manager.
- Drive business development for the Public Sector across NRW, Hessen, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland.
- Build and expand long-term relationships with IT leaders, procurement teams, and public-sector decision-makers.
- Sell the full Lenovo datacenter portfolio, including servers, storage, networking, edge, HCI, cloud, AI, and software-defined solutions.
- Advise public-sector customers on digitalization initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and hybrid-cloud strategies.
- Identify public tenders, support bid processes, and collaborate closely with the Bid Management team.
- Partner with channel partners, system integrators, and technology ecosystems to deliver successful customer projects.
- Manage pipeline development, forecasting, and the full sales cycle, including participation in events and industry engagements.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent education or experience.
- 2-3 years of sales experience in IT infrastructure, ideally in datacenter or AI solution sales.
- Understanding of public-sector procurement, processes, and budget frameworks is a big plus
- Experience working with public-sector clients, tenders, and senior government stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confident customer-facing presence.
- German Language - fluent/native is a must, English - advanced.
- High willingness to travel within the West Germany region.
- Independent, solution-oriented, and well-structured working style.
