Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate Contract Lawyer based in Norway to join our Global Contract Team (GCT) EMEA, supporting Norway, Sweden, the wider Nordics region, as well as UK & Ireland–based Lenovo entities and business activities.

In this key role, you will provide expert end‑to‑end contract support, legal risk assessment, and business‑aligned guidance. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders across Lenovo’s global business teams and ensure that all technology contracting complies with regional, local, and international regulations, while aligning with Lenovo’s internal frameworks and policies.





Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex technology agreements, including cloud/SaaS, managed services, software licensing, hardware + services bundles, DPA/processing terms, MSAs/SOWs, OEM/ODM, reseller and channel distribution agreements, and SLAs.
  • Provide practical, business‑oriented advice on technology risks, data/privacy, cybersecurity, export controls, and regulatory considerations across EMEA.
  • Partner with sales, procurement, finance, and operations teams to enable timely deal closure while safeguarding Lenovo’s legal and commercial interests.
  • Drive adoption and governance of Lenovo’s CLM tool; deliver recurring user training when needed.
  • Identify and escalate material legal and commercial risks; propose mitigation strategies aligned with Lenovo contracting playbooks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contract templates, playbooks, and processes; support training for business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts on country‑specific legal topics as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Law degree (JD/LLB/LLM) from a recognized EMEA institution.
  • 5+ years PQE in commercial contracting covering Norway, Sweden/Nordics, and ideally the UK & Ireland.
  • Strong expertise in complex technology transactions (cloud/SaaS, managed services, cybersecurity, hardware + services, software licensing, data processing, distribution models, etc.).
  • Proven experience negotiating high‑value, multi‑jurisdictional technology deals while balancing risk and business priorities.
  • English proficiency at B2–C1 or higher, written and spoken.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and legal drafting skills in fast‑paced, international tech environments.
  • Experience in public‑sector or regulated‑industry tech contracting is an advantage.
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills and the ability to perform under pressure while delivering exceptional internal client service.
