Your Mission:
As a Marketing Manager at Lenovo, you will be the primary architect of the customer-facing brand narrative in Japan. This is a "Player-Coach" role requiring the high flexibility to move seamlessly between 3-year strategic planning and hands-on execution (e.g. direct agency steering, budget management, and creative troubleshooting).
You will own the Top-of-Mind (TOM) awareness strategy, ensuring our brands (Lenovo Yoga, Legion, and NEC LAVIE) are the definitive choices for the next generation of PC users.

Key responsibilities:

· Programmatic Ownership: Lead the end-to-end conception and execution of Lenovo’s integrated marketing campaigns, demonstrating the resourcefulness to navigate roadblocks in a lean, fast-paced environment. You own the results, not just the process. Success is measured by market share and brand favorability, not just campaign completion.

  • Cross Channel Architecture: You lead the Cross-Channel Marketing strategy with clear communication journey. You must ensure the brand story remains high-fidelity whether the customer is seeing a TVCM (ATL) or interacting with an in-store display (BTL). You must ensure that the creative story and message remains consistent across and understand uniqueness of various touch points.

· Business narrative and Creative Bar-Raising: Author high quality campaign briefs that challenges agencies to move beyond generic PC marketing. You provide the strategic vision and have the "high judgment" to push back on mediocre creative work to ensure it resonates with the target audience.

· Technical Evangelism: You possess deep PC/Hardware industry knowledge. You can translate complex AI-PC features into "customer-first" benefits that drive purchase intent. Also, you are familiar with funding structure of the PC business.

  • Analytical Rigor: Own the marketing scorecard. You must demonstrate strategic agility, using data (Brand Health tracker, Internal datahub, sales trends, and market research etc ) to pivot tactics and creative direction in real time without losing project momentum strategies and prove ROI. You build case for marketing performance, and "Work Backwards" from customer data to define your next strategy.

· Stakeholder Influence: Write and present "narrative documents" to senior leadership to secure budget and alignment for new market opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in marketing, with experience for PC or Hardware industry experience.
  • The Hybrid Pedigree: A background that includes both Brand Management (In-house) and Strategic Planning (Agency) is highly preferred.
  • Mastery of the Funnel: Proven track record of moving brand metrics (Awareness, Consideration, Preference) and translating them into sales growth.
  • Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of the PC ecosystem (AI PC, Gaming, etc.) to translate technical specs into emotional consumer benefits.
  • Communication: Native-level Japanese and Business-level English (written and verbal).
  • Agency experience is a big plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching a new category or rebranding a legacy product line.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets with high accountability for performance.
  • Experiencing managing POE (proof of evidence)
