Description and Requirements

Position Description

Lenovo’s Global Cyber Security team is seeking experienced and highly motivated security professionals to help protect the company against an evolving threat landscape. We are a diverse, global, and cross‑functional team that values innovation, collaboration, and solving complex security challenges.

Our team serves as Lenovo’s front line of defense against cyber threats and is involved in all aspects of modern cyber security. This role is ideal for forward‑thinking professionals who enjoy hands‑on technical work and contributing to meaningful, high‑impact security initiatives.

In this position, you will help design, implement, and operate advanced security solutions; develop and maintain security standards; assess technical and third‑party risks; and support incident response and security operations.

This role also plays an active part in Lenovo’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives. As a global leader in AI devices, solutions, and services, Lenovo is committed to responsible AI. Note: This is not an entry‑level position. Strong technical capabilities are required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Lenovo’s Responsible AI security objectives
  • Design, implement, and deploy technical security controls
  • Perform technical security assessments for projects and initiatives
  • Conduct third‑party security assessments
  • Develop and maintain technical security standards and guidance
  • Support incident response activities and security operations
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, risks, and technologies
  • Demonstrate discipline and accountability to meet security and program goals

Participate in limited domestic and international travel (approximately 5%) for meetings and collaboration

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • IT operations or infrastructure support
    • Cloud administration (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Tencent, Alibaba)
    • Network deployment and administration
    • Linux or Windows system administration
    • Security engineering
  • 5+ years of experience applying cyber security or information security principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, CEH, Security+)
  • Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence concepts
  • Experience with cloud‑based AI platforms and services (e.g., Azure, AWS, AliCloud)
  • Familiarity with cyber security control frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST)
  • Experience in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Hands‑on experience with a broad range of security tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
