Description and Requirements


The Software Sales Representative is responsible for driving the sales and go‑to‑market strategy of Lenovo ISG software solutions in Mexico, working closely with the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) sales organization.


This role owns the software portfolio for ISG Mexico and plays a critical role in enabling Lenovo to deliver end‑to‑end datacenter solutions, combining Lenovo hardware with best‑in‑class software offerings. Lenovo has established strong strategic alliances with key software vendors such as Microsoft, Red Hat, Nutanix, Veeam, Cohesity, Commvault, SUSE and others, and this position will be the focal point for those partnerships in the Mexican market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with ISG sales representatives across Mexico, providing specialized support for software solutions, particularly those related to external alliances.
  • Support the sales team in solution design and deal structuring, ensuring the correct positioning of software within datacenter solutions.
  • Enable and train ISG sellers on software offerings, value propositions and competitive positioning to increase software attach and pipeline generation.
  • Act as a key interface with software vendors (e.g. Red Hat and other alliance partners), coordinating technical and commercial alignment.
  • Engage directly with customers and channel partners in a client‑ and channel‑facing role.
  • Identify and solve complex customer needs by collaborating with multiple internal teams to generate pipeline and coordinate end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Own the software sales strategy and execution for the entire Mexico territory.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in technical or solution‑based selling of datacenter solutions, with a strong focus on the software component.
  • Solid understanding of the datacenter business and ecosystem.
  • Experience selling software solutions within infrastructure or datacenter environments is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, partners and vendors to drive results.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage complex sales cycles.


Desired Qualifications

  • Software certifications from vendors such as Red Hat, Microsoft, or data protection solutions (Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity).
  • Background in a technology partner organization or experience as inside sales / solution sales at a competitor.
  • Prior exposure to datacenter technologies, either from a vendor, partner or systems integrator.
