Description and Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
1. Act as the Finance BP for the group-level R&D function, partnering with R&D leadership and cross-functional teams on comprehensive expense analysis and management (focusing on group R&D costs), and overseeing daily financial operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
2. Establish and improve a comprehensive financial management system covering group R&D budgeting, cost control, fund allocation, and expense reporting to enhance efficiency and quality.
3. Conduct in-depth, regular financial analysis of group R&D spending, providing accurate reports and data to support management decision-making and enable timely strategy adjustments on R&D investments.
4. Establish and maintain risk management frameworks for R&D expenses, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., R&D tax incentives, super deduction policies) and pursuing tax optimization strategies related to group R&D activities.
5. Develop business cases with robust financial models to support strategic R&D initiatives at the group level.
6. Set up and conduct ROI, productivity, benchmark, and variance analyses to drive group R&D spending efficiency across different functions and projects.
7. Manage project execution effectively across cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, procurement, legal, tax).
8. Prepare executive-level presentations on group R&D expense trends, allocation, and forecasts, and support ad-hoc requests from senior leadership.
9. Coordinate cross-team collaboration to gather necessary data for group-level R&D expense reporting, consolidation, and variance analysis.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance; experience in expense analysis, particularly group-level R&D or cost center management, is highly preferred.
2. Proven proficiency in comprehensive financial management principles and practices, with emphasis on cost and expense control at the group level.
3. Demonstrated strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data related to R&D spending across multiple entities or functions.
4. Fluent in English, able to communicate without barriers.
