Description and Requirements

We are seeking an experienced HR Partner to join our HR team with responsibility for the BeNeLux region. In this role, you will have end‑to‑end ownership for both Belgium and the Netherlands, while maintaining an additional, day‑to‑day focus on Belgium.

You will hold full HR generalist responsibility, partnering closely with business leaders to enable the business strategy through strong business acumen, pragmatic judgement and trusted advisory capability.

You will be regarded as a subject‑matter expert within HR, translating HR strategy into practical plans and ensuring strong execution across both countries. You will role‑model our culture and ways of working, and proactively drive HR activities in close collaboration with the wider HR team and the HR Director, to whom you will report. You will also coach and develop local leaders and the BeNeLux HR team as required.

The role spans a wide range of activities across the HR lifecycle and includes a hands‑on operational component, including recruitment process management (e.g. Avature) and HR system administration (e.g. Workday), ensuring accurate data and smooth end‑to‑end processes.

What are the key responsibilities of the role?

You will execute key HR strategies, deliver operational HR excellence and make a tangible impact across the following areas:

Strategic partnering & organisational effectiveness

  • Build trusted partnerships with local management teams by developing a strong understanding of Lenovo’s strategy, objectives and operating model.
  • Co‑create and execute country people plans covering workforce planning, capability building, engagement and retention. You will support organisational change, including role design, restructuring activities and consultation steps (where applicable), in partnership with HR leadership and relevant functions.

Employee relations, compliance & governance

  • Provide pragmatic guidance on Belgian and Dutch employment practices and legislation, partnering with Legal/ER as needed to manage risk and ensure compliance. You will support engagement with employee representative bodies (e.g., Works Council/union interactions) and required information/consultation processes, where applicable.
  • Manage employee relations topics end‑to‑end (e.g., performance improvement, grievances, disciplinaries, investigations and exits), ensuring appropriate documentation and timely resolution.

Talent, performance & leadership capability

  • Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to deliver workforce planning and recruitment aligned with business needs; support a high‑quality candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Enable managers to deliver strong performance through coaching, clear expectations and effective use of performance and talent processes (performance reviews, talent reviews, succession and career planning).

Culture, change & programmes

  • Support the communication, localisation and roll‑out of global HR programmes across BeNeLux. Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of country‑specific programmes, policies and processes, aligned with local needs.
  • Act as an ambassador of Lenovo’s culture and values, promoting inclusive behaviours and consistent ways of working.

In this role you will collaborate closely with HR Centres of Excellence and functions including Payroll and Compensation & Benefits to support annual cycles and ensure consistent employee experience. You will also work with HR Services for effective case routing.

What knowledge, skills & experience is required?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience); a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years’ HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior HR or HR Partner role.
  • Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organisation, ideally within the IT or technology sector.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Belgian labour law, and Netherlands employment legislation.
  • Excellent English proficiency, both written and spoken; English is used daily in the role. Fluency in Dutch is required; French is highly desirable (to support stakeholders and employees in Belgium).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills at all organisational levels. Coaching capability in complex business and people‑related situations.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills, with the ability to structure work and manage multiple priorities effectively.

What We Will Offer You:

  • A multitude of professional and personal opportunities
  • An open and stimulating environment within one of the most forwarding thinking IT companies
  • Flat structures and fast decision-making processes
  • A modern and flexible way of working to combine personal and professional life
  • An international team with a high focus on Gender Diversity
  • Opportunities within Strong Employer Brand
