Description and Requirements

Role Objective

Responsibility for the strategic expansion and sustainable development of customer relationships in the public sector (federal authorities), with a focus on workplace solutions. The role combines account management, tender management, and technical solution consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic management and further development of defined public sector accounts at the federal level
  • Development and implementation of holistic account plans, including responsibility for revenue, margin, and pipeline
  • Positioning the full Lenovo workplace portfolio (notebooks, desktops, workstations, peripherals, services, etc.)
  • Managing the bid process in close collaboration with bid management, technical teams, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring formal, technical, and commercial compliance of proposals
  • Analysis of specifications and mandatory/optional requirements
  • Advising on system architectures and configurations within the workplace environment
  • Monitoring market, technology, and customer developments in the public sector
  • Comparing and differentiating from competitors in the workplace segment
  • Articulating technical and commercial value propositions during tender and decision processes
  • Maintaining accurate forecasts, pipeline, and opportunity data in the CRM system

Requirements

  • Degree in IT, Business Administration, or a comparable field, or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of experience in B2B sales in the IT environment, ideally in the public sector
  • Experience with public tenders and procurement procedures is an advantage
  • Strong technical understanding of workplace/client hardware
  • Very good German and good English skills (written and spoken)
