Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in EFI/UEFI development and ACPI to support system firmware design, development, and integration. The ideal candidate is a self-driven contributor who can work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality platform solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware components based on EFI/UEFI architecture
  • Work closely with platform teams to support EDK/EDK II development workflows
  • Develop and integrate ACPI tables and related system-level configurations
  • Collaborate with hardware, BIOS, and OS teams to ensure seamless system integration
  • Debug and resolve firmware-related issues across boot, power management, and platform features
  • Participate in code reviews, validation, and testing to ensure firmware quality and compliance
  • Continuously improve firmware performance, stability, and scalability

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience in EFI/UEFI firmware development
  • Solid understanding of EDK/EDK II development workflow
  • Hands-on experience with ACPI development and system integration
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in low-level environments
  • Familiarity with firmware validation and debugging tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BIOS/bootloader development
  • Knowledge of platform bring-up and hardware-software integration
  • Understanding of OS interaction with firmware (e.g., Windows/Linux boot flow) — relevant as UEFI/ACPI are core system interfaces
  • Exposure to security features in firmware (e.g., secure boot, firmware validation)
