Description and Requirements

About Our Team

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive build reliability, release consistency, and operational efficiency by integrating AI‑Agent-assisted tooling into the development lifecycle. This position will ensure operational rigor and support to ensure integrated AI agents improve velocity and reliability.

Location: Chicago, IL, Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Gerrit, GitHub repositories, branching strategies, permissions, and workflow governance.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, tests, signing, and deployment workflows.
  • Integrate AI‑Agent–based automation for code validation, compliance checks, pre‑commit analysis, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Implement configuration management best practices across environments, ensuring traceability, reproducibility, and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and release engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of build and release processes.
  • Monitor pipeline health, resolve build failures, and drive continuous improvements in reliability and performance.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tooling.
  • Support migration, modernization, and workflow transformation initiatives as the organization evolves from legacy systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+yrs of Experience handling enterprise CI/CD pipelines in a CloudOps, DevOps or Data Engineering capacity.
  • 5+yrs of Experience writing CI/CD automations.
  • Experience integrating AI tooling to CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+yrs of Experience writing CI/CD automations utilizing Jenkins, Groovy, Python, or Bash.
  • 5+yrs of Experience handling repository governance, ideally with GitHub Enterprise, Actions.
  • Experience integrating or working with AI‑Agents for developer workflow acceleration.
  • Deep understanding of configuration management principles, artifact versioning, and release workflows.
  • Knowledge of secure build pipelines, code‑scanning tools, and compliance automation.
  • Experience with cloud‑based build infrastructure and containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and cross-team communication skills.
  • Experience documenting, communicating, and escalating issues in a timely way.
  • Cultural Competency working across Chinese, Desi, American, European, and South American cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact.
  • 1+yr of Experience working with Gerrit is a plus.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $170-190k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. This position operates on a hybrid schedule to our Chicago, IL location and is onsite 3 days per week.
