Are You passionate about sports, technology and innovation? Check out this role!

You will report to the Director of SSG Technical Solution Architect - Sports Vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of solution architecture post-sales, ensuring alignment with Lenovo standards and best practices across delivery teams.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end architectures, consolidating systems, defining requirements (scalability, security, resilience), and ensuring compliance throughout project lifecycle.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into implementable solutions, partnering closely with engineering teams and overseeing NFRs, SLAs, and testing.
  • Drive innovation by collaborating with product managers, business units, R&D, and partners to develop reusable architecture patterns and optimize delivery.
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure costs, identifying efficiencies and cross-project synergies to reduce complexity and improve time-to-delivery.
  • Support pre-sales and project scoping by contributing to SOWs with clear technical assumptions, constraints, and requirements.
  • Lead technical strategy for POCs and incubation initiatives, evaluating outcomes and defining requirements for scalable, secure productization.
  • Provide operational architecture support for major events, ensuring readiness through audits, governance policies, and risk mitigation measures.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years in solution, enterprise, or technical architecture roles, including end-to-end ownership of complex, multi-system implementations; experience in sports technology or comparable high-availability, event-driven environments is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success designing architectures for large, integration-heavy programs (applications, data, networks, and infrastructure), ideally supporting major sports events or similar mission-critical operations.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of hybrid cloud and modern application architecture, including APIs, microservices, data integration patterns, and AI/ML-enabled solutions.
  • Proficiency with architecture diagramming tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Draw.io) and presentation software; able to communicate designs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deep technical knowledge to earn the respect of client IT/engineering teams and internal product/engineering groups.
  • The unique ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders
  • Sees the "big picture" and can architect solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with the client's long-term strategy.
