Description and Requirements


This Solution & Services Domain Specialist (SSDS) role is a quota carrying sales person focussed on driving our Motorola Software Solutions revenue. The SSDS will be the go-to expert for our sales teams and key channel partners bringing together offerings from the Motorola Software portfolio to build solutions that meet our customer’s specific business needs. The SSDS will proactively seek out new opportunities, drive revenue growth, and help close deals. They will ensure that our organization remains at the forefront of innovation by providing real time customer feedback to our solutioning and product development team.


Position Description:

  • Solution Expertise:
    • The domain expert for Motorola Software Solutions. Demonstrate deep technical understanding of our software solutions from customer use cases to backend technical framework.
    • Work within dedicated territory in concert with the Service Solutions Executive and/or lead Hardware Seller who is the responsible for the market/account.
    • Demonstrate relevant software solutions for customers in the customer’s environment.
    • Drive customer feedback to relevant development teams regarding features and functions of out software solutions to help inform the feature roadmap and priorities.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • The SSDS will proactively seek out new opportunities, drive revenue growth, and help close deals.
    • Coordinate and manage proof of concept (POC) engagements with customers and convert POC’s to billable sales.
    • Partner closely with key channel partners through training, demonstrations, and end customer engagements.
    • Engage with key decision-makers within target customer organizations. Understand customer needs, pain points, and objectives to tailor Motorola’s solutions effectively.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide end-to-end solutions that address customer requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools. Provide regular updates on sales performance and forecasts.
  • Industry Acumen:
    • Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the Digital Workplace Solutions space. Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
    • Benchmark our Motorola offers against the competitor’s to inform our sales strategy, identify differentiators, and highlight key selling points.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in mobile device, software solutions, or solution delivery industry
  • 3–5 years of experience in a pre-sales, business development, or solution selling role
  • Proven experience conducting product demonstrations and managing Proof of Concept (POC) engagements
  • Technical knowledge of software solutions, Digital Workplace, UEM, MDM, or related enterprise mobility technologies
  • Familiarity with CRM tools for pipeline management and sales forecasting
  • Experience engaging with enterprise-level decision makers and navigating complex sales cycles
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into customer-facing value propositions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High professional presentation skills, both in-person and remote
  • Project management skills to coordinate cross-functional engagements (POCs, demos, partner enablement)
  • BS/BA in Business Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Availability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Fluent English required
  • Intermediate/Fluent Portuguese is a plus for this position.
