Description and Requirements

External Communications & Public Relations Intern – Summer 2026
About the Role
Join our Corporate Communications team as a summer intern and gain hands-on experience in media relations, PR, and brand storytelling. You’ll support high-visibility initiatives, including press outreach, media tracking, and external events.
What You’ll Do
  • Draft and support distribution of press releases and media pitches
  • Monitor media coverage and maintain media lists
  • Track earned media and support reporting/analysis
  • Conduct research to inform PR strategy
  • Assist with external events and announcements
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and enrolled full-time
  • Available to work full-time Summer 2026
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • This role is on-site at Lenovo Morrisville, NC Corporate HQ and requires you work on site via our hybrid 3:2 model, 3 Days in office and 2 flex location
  • This position will run 6 weeks starting s from July 22nd or July 29th (depending on hire/onboarding date)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest or experience in PR, communications, journalism, or marketing
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Familiarity with media or analytics tools is a plus
