Role Overview

This role provides on-site technical support focused on device deployment and lifecycle services for PCs and mobile devices.

The position is responsible for executing deployments, ensuring systems are properly configured, and delivering a seamless user experience during upgrades, replacements, and onboarding of new equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute deployment requests for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Ensure all deployment activities are accurately recorded in ITSM systems
  • Perform diagnostics and resolve performance issues on deployed equipment
  • Execute hardware maintenance and break/fix repair services when required
  • Perform upgrades or replacements of computers, monitors, and related accessories
  • Coordinate with warehouse and asset management teams for hardware logistics
  • Reinstall operating systems and configure required software environments
  • Validate and replicate user environments to ensure new devices are fully functional replacements of prior systems
  • Install and configure operating systems and applications (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android)

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of hardware and software deployment and support technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve intermediate-level technical issues
  • Understanding of how deployment activities impact user experience and service delivery
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and operational functions
  • Strong documentation and reporting capabilities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience:
    2–5 years of experience in IT support roles such as Field Services or Deployment Services within enterprise or outsourced environments

  • Education:
    Undergraduate degree in an IT-related discipline or technical high school education supplemented with relevant IT certifications

  • Preferred Technical Knowledge:

    • Experience with data wipe tools (e.g., Blancco, KillDisk, SysTools)
    • Experience with OS image creation and distribution (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM, ISO, MSI)
