We are seeking a Senior Software Development Manager – Sports Vertical to lead the design and delivery of next-generation sports analytics and digital experience platforms within Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group (SSG). This is a full-time role with a strong international scope, working closely with global teams and external partners across the sports and media ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a highly technical leader with expertise in distributed systems, AI-enabled platforms, and real-time data processing, combined with strong people leadership and delivery ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of scalable sports technology platforms, including real-time data processing and digital experience solutions
• Drive the design and implementation of microservices-based backend systems and high-performance frontend applications
• Oversee delivery of AI-powered capabilities such as analytics, predictive insights, and intelligent user experiences
• Own end-to-end engineering execution from requirements definition through deployment and continuous improvement
• Establish and maintain engineering best practices including Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing cross-functional engineering team across backend, frontend, and AI/ML domains
• Collaborate with product management, UX, and external stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Act as a technical representative for sports solutions, supporting stakeholder engagement and innovation initiatives

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in software engineering with demonstrated leadership responsibility in engineering teams
• Strong expertise in backend development (e.g., Java, APIs, microservices) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue)
• Experience with cloud-native applications, containerization, and distributed systems architectures
• Solid understanding of data processing systems, performance optimization, and scalable platform design
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, or analytics platforms is highly valued
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
