Description and Requirements

About the role

Lenovo is seeking a commercially minded and analytically strong Sales Operations Specialist to support the New Zealand business across all segments. This role plays a critical part in enabling business growth through data-driven insights, forecasting accuracy, operational excellence, and executive-level reporting.

Partnering closely with NZ CGM, Sales leaders, AU/ GTAP Operations teams, this role will help translate complex business data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational execution.

The role provides end-to-end Sales Operations support across NZ SMB, Channel & Distribution, KAB, GAB, and Consumer segments.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial insights & Business Partnering

  • Partner with NZ CGM and Segment leaders, Sales team and Operations team members in Australia and GTAP to provide actionable commercial insights.
  • Translate data into clear, executive‑ready insights and recommendations via dashboards, reporting, and presentations.
  • Identify risks, trends, opportunities, and business performance drivers across the NZ market.

Performance Reporting and Forecasting

  • Own and manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance reporting cycles.
  • Support forecasting cadence, pipeline visibility, and business rhythm processes.
  • Develop and maintain sales, pipeline, and market performance models to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment across enterprise systems and reporting tools.

Planning, Reviews and Scenario Modelling

  • Support annual operating planning, STAMP actions, QBRs, MBRs, and strategic business reviews.
  • Conduct scenario modelling and business analysis to support investment decisions and commercial planning.
  • Provide analytical support for business initiatives, productivity tracking, and performance improvement activities.

Sales Operations Excellence & Process Improvement

  • Drive reporting simplification, automation, and operational efficiencies across the NZ business.
  • Partner with regional operations and analytics teams to improve reporting accuracy and reduce manual processes.
  • Contribute business requirements into automation initiatives leveraging tools such as Power BI and Microsoft D365.
  • Surface key business issues quickly and support leadership focus on high-impact priorities.
