Description and Requirements

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Chromebook BU at Lenovo. This role will lead cross-functional program management activities and ensure successful execution of Chromebook product development, launch, and lifecycle management. The ideal candidate should have solid TPM experience in the consumer electronics or PC industry.

Job Responsibilities

1. Program Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end program management for Chromebook product development, including roadmap planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination
  • Define and manage program scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to align with business and technical goals

2. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to drive smooth product launches
  • Act as the key interface between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements into deliverables

3. Risk Management & Issue Resolution

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks across technical, resource, and schedule dimensions
  • Drive resolution of critical issues and ensure timely escalation when needed

4. Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and mitigation plans
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and external partners

5. Process Improvement

  • Continuously improve program management processes and tools
  • Apply best practices, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies

6. Product Lifecycle Management

  • Support lifecycle activities such as EOL planning, cost optimization, and transition strategy
  • Ensure alignment with Lenovo’s PC+ strategy and Chromebook BU goals

Job Requirements

1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced degree (MBA/Master’s) is a plus

2. Experience

  • 8+ years of program management experience, preferably in consumer electronics, PC, or Chromebook industry
  • Proven track record of managing complex programs from concept to launch
  • Experience working with cross-functional and global teams

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Solid understanding of Chromebook product development, including hardware, software, and ecosystem integration
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Confluence and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong financial and budget management capability

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with Chrome OS and Android ecosystems
2. Familiar with Chromebook market trends and competitive landscape
3. Experience in product transition and cost optimization programs
