Description and Requirements

As part of Lenovo’s growth strategy, we are focusing in the DACH region on customers in the mid-market segment (approx. 200–1,000 employees) and continuing to expand our team. To support this, we are looking for a communicative, sales-driven professional who will support our customers throughout the entire sales cycle, with a strong interest in data center and solutions topics (servers, storage, infrastructure, and solution approaches), ideally complemented by initial experience in this area.

In this inside sales role, you are the main point of contact for a defined customer portfolio and/or sales territory and take ownership of opportunity management from prospecting through to closing. You work closely with field sales, product specialists, and technical experts, and you build long-term relationships up to C-level. Lenovo supports you with structured onboarding, product training, and sales coaching.

Your responsibilities

  • Own a defined customer portfolio and/or sales territory, including the full sales cycle (prospecting, needs analysis, proposal, negotiation, closing).
  • Develop existing accounts with the goal of profitably increasing revenue and margin and sustainably strengthening customer satisfaction.
  • Advise on suitable solutions, including product selection and configuration—with a strong interest in data center & solutions topics (e.g., servers, storage, virtual infrastructure, hyperconverged approaches).
  • Create, calculate, and follow up on quotes, including pricing, through to project completion.
  • Work closely with field sales, technical presales teams, product specialists, marketing, and delivery to implement end-to-end customer solutions.
  • Coordinate partners and third-party vendors as needed to provide complete solutions.
  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting (pipeline, quarterly performance, business planning vs. target) and participate in weekly team meetings to share best practices

Your profile

  • Initial experience in sales/account management (ideally 1–3 years), preferably in a B2B environment. This role is also a good fir for a University graduate.
  • Interest in the IT industry; knowledge of data center solutions, software, or services is an advantage (terms such as virtual infrastructure, hyperconvergence, and storage are a plus).
  • Strong customer focus, an ownership mindset, and an independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels.
  • Very good MS Office skills.
  • Very good German and good English, both written and spoken.
  • Resilience and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, demanding environment.

What we offer

  • Comprehensive onboarding and continuous development (including product training and sales coaching).
  • Attractive compensation and benefits package (e.g., wellbeing offerings, employee stock purchase program—depending on the local package).
  • A team-oriented culture with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths.
  • Flexible working time models.
