Description and Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity to join Motorola Mobility Australia as an Account Manager. This is an individual contributor role who will be selling into our retail partners in Australia

This role will report directly into the Head of Motorola ANZ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & maintain a key account plan detailing customer’s organisation, business priorites, pricing, competitive environment, & meeting history
  • Develop & update/maintain a strategy within the account plan to maximise the sales of Motorola handsets within the assigned customers, including proactively seeking-out new opportunities
  • Engaging with Retail and carrier partners and key stakeholders within their business. This includes but not limited to buyers, marketing leads, merchandisers, segment leads and training/learning contacts.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong partnerships with channel partners
  • Delivering sales presentations in the ANZ region as required
  • Coordinating GTM and channel plans in line with Motorola and partner strategies
  • Develop sell in, sell through and sell out strategies ensuring profitability and sustainability
  • Negotiate co-operative advertising to further promote our products and cement our relationship.
  • Ensure accurate demand and forecast planning to align with key product launch dates and key selling periods for future revenue growth.
  • Achieving revenue, volume and profitability targets

Key Requirements:

  • Ideally 7+ years sales and account management experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and matrixed sales engagements whilst always positioning the products at the centre of the engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • High energy and engagement ethos, self starter, out of the box thinker, able to stay motivated while working autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills – presentation, negotiation, and closing
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • Strong people skills and project a positive outgoing manner.
  • Current drivers license and ability to travel
  • The ability to work to aggressive targets and deadlines
