Description and Requirements

Position Overview
•Responsible for the design, optimization, and deployment of optical illumination solutions for industrial product inspection, addressing lighting challenges in complex inspection scenarios.
•Integrate 3D vision, multimodal large-scale models, and machine vision technologies with optical illumination techniques to support innovation and engineering-scale deployment in industrial inspection applications.
•Responsible for on-site commissioning of optical solutions and customer training.
•Deliver robust optical illumination solutions for industrial inspection, driving integrated innovation and the transfer of optical technologies into inspection algorithms.
Responsibilities
•Build deep expertise in industrial inspection illumination; master the characteristics and applications of various light sources such as ring lights, bar lights, area lights, and coaxial lights. Lead the design, debugging, iteration, and optimization of illumination solutions for product inspection, ensuring lighting performance meets requirements for accuracy, speed, and robustness.
•Lead or participate in the construction of industrial inspection optical systems; combine 3D vision and machine vision algorithms to manage the full lifecycle from illumination design and sample testing to parameter tuning and engineering deployment, resolving complex real-world illumination challenges.
•Explore the application of multimodal large-scale models and AI vision technologies in industrial inspection lighting scenarios; conduct technical pre-research and innovative practices on the fusion of illumination and algorithms to improve inspection efficiency and accuracy.
•Build illumination testing and validation environments using machine vision tools such as Halcon, VisionPro, and OpenCV; complete prototype testing, performance evaluation, and iterative optimization of illumination solutions.
•Track the latest technological advances and benchmark cases in optical inspection and industrial illumination; translate them into solutions aligned with business needs, enhance the team’s illumination capabilities, and help define relevant technical specifications and standards.
•Collaborate with algorithm and engineering teams to provide optical illumination technical support, jointly advancing the integration and deployment of industrial inspection equipment and ensuring stable system operation.
Qualifications
•Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Optical Engineering, Applied Optics, Optoelectronic Information Engineering, Computer Vision, Automation, or related fields, with a solid foundation in optical theory such as geometrical optics and physical optics.
•Professional Skills: Strong expertise in industrial inspection illumination principles; experienced in the selection, integration, and tuning of industrial light sources, lenses, and cameras. Experience with illumination for industrial products such as tires or textiles is a plus. Familiar with area-scan cameras, line-scan cameras, and line-laser 3D cameras, including setup and calibration.
•Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of 3D vision and core machine vision algorithms; familiarity with the application of multimodal large-scale models in industrial inspection; proven capability to integrate optical systems with algorithms.
•Project Experience: At least 4 years of experience in designing, optimizing, and deploying illumination solutions for industrial inspection; able to independently resolve lighting challenges in complex scenarios. Experience in projects integrating optical systems with AI algorithms is preferred.
•Additional Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and coordination abilities, capable of leading technical projects, with a strong sense of innovation and continuous learning, and the ability to track and apply cutting-edge industry technologies.
