The Product Manager applies deep domain expertise to improve decision outcomes, product quality, and business performance within their scope. You will be expected to own one or more server products as well as supporting sustaining activities on existing products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product requirements, configurations, and positioning within assigned scope
  • Develop clear, well-founded recommendations with explicit trade-offs across cost, performance, and timing
  • Drive alignment on product decisions across stakeholders and ensure consistent understanding and execution
  • Anticipate dependencies and downstream impacts to minimise rework and late-stage changes

Lifecycle Management and Execution

  • Own the product lifecycle from concept through launch, in-market management, and transition
  • Ensure product readiness across all dimensions, including supply, quality, pricing, and sales enablement
  • Maintain predictable execution cadence, proactively addressing risks and resolving issues
  • Support lifecycle transitions, replacements, and substitutions while ensuring continuity for customers and sales

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead coordination across engineering, supply chain, operations, sales, and marketing teams
  • Align priorities, timelines, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders and regions
  • Resolve conflicts and remove execution barriers to maintain progress and delivery quality
  • Establish clear accountability and ownership across all aspects of product execution

Product Competitiveness and Performance

  • Ensure products meet competitive benchmarks across performance, cost, feature set, and customer value
  • Monitor product performance in market and drive improvements where required
  • Support pricing, positioning, and configuration decisions in collaboration with commercial teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve product offering or address competitive gaps

Data, Tools, and Operational Discipline

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of product data, configuration tools, and supporting collateral
  • Ensure stakeholders have access to reliable, up-to-date information for decision-making and execution
  • Establish and uphold standards that improve data quality and reduce operational errors
  • Resolve inconsistencies across teams, regions, or systems to maintain a single source of truth

Customer and Market Engagement

  • Develop strong understanding of customer requirements and usage scenarios across target segments
  • Incorporate customer and partner feedback into product definition and ongoing improvements
  • Engage with key stakeholders to validate product direction and support business development activities

  • Significant experience in server, infrastructure, or related product management roles (~12+ years)
  • Proven track record of delivering complex products or product lines
  • Strong understanding of system-level design considerations and cost/performance trade-offs
  • Experience working across global, cross-functional organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and drive decisions to closure
