Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a high-potential, strategic Senior Business Manager to partner with U.S. Corporate sales leadership and drive profitable growth across the REL business. This is not a traditional operations role, this leader will act as a force multiplier, bringing insight, structure, and momentum to the business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, highly proactive, and confident business leader who can challenge the status quo, influence senior stakeholders, and translate strategy into execution. This role reports to the NA REL Business Management Director within the NA Category Organization and works in tight partnership with NA Sales Leadership, Global REL teams, and cross-functional organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to segment leadership, owning the business narrative, identifying gaps, and driving clear actions.
- Lead annual and quarterly segment strategy, setting targets for revenue, market share, and GP based on market dynamics and competitive insights.
- Shift the organization from reactive reporting to forward-looking, insight-driven decision making.
Performance Management & Growth Acceleration
- Own end-to-end business performance management, including pipeline health, revenue attainment, and profitability.
- Assess performance on a quarterly and in-quarter basis, identifying risks and deploying targeted actions to close gaps.
- Drive campaign planning and execution that integrates product, pricing, services attach, and competitive positioning.
4P & Commercial Excellence
- Lead a more strategic 4P motion (Product, Price, Promotion, Place) to influence outcomes—not just measure them.
- Shape product mix, pricing strategy, and attach motions (ADJ, services, solutions) to improve overall business performance.
- Ensure alignment across Channel, Marketing, Enablement, and Services teams to execute unified plans.
Financial Ownership & Business Discipline
- Own and articulate P&L dynamics, including risks, opportunities, and quarterly commitments at sub-segment and product levels.
- Manage key business levers such as FGI, inventory health, and margin optimization.
- Drive disciplined execution while maintaining agility to adjust within the quarter.
Deal Strategy & Market Competitiveness
- Support strategic deal-making by maximizing alliance and funding programs to enhance competitiveness.
- Partner with sales on large or strategic deals to ensure the best outcome for both customer and business.
Customer & Market Insight
- Maintain a strong pulse on the market through customer engagements, events, and advisory councils.
- Bring back insights to shape strategy, messaging, and solution positioning.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Align and mobilize cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Finance, Channel, Enablement, and GSC, around top business priorities.
- Act as the connective tissue across the organization to remove friction and accelerate execution.
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Capability
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of experience across Sales, Sales Ops, Category, Product Management, or Marketing
Leadership Profile
- High-potential (HiPo) with executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Operates with a bias for action, proactive, resilient, and accountable
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy to execution
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Global/Corporate accounts preferred
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills (executive-ready)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead without authority
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and business tools (Qlik, Dynamics preferred)
- Strong operational rigor paired with strategic thinking
