Description and Requirements

Position Overview

  • Lenovo is seeking an experienced PR & Communications Manager to lead strategic communications, media relations, executive thought leadership, and content development for our Solutions & Services business in Hong Kong. This role will be instrumental in positioning Lenovo as a leader in AI, digital transformation, and technology solutions by driving compelling storytelling, executive visibility, and customer-centric communications.
  • The successful candidate will be a strategic communicator with excellent writing skills, strong relationships across Hong Kong's Tier 1 business and technology media, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Fluency in both English and Cantonese is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that support Lenovo's AI and Solutions & Services business priorities.
  • Create compelling narratives that strengthen Lenovo's reputation as a trusted technology solutions provider.
  • Partner with regional and global communications, marketing, and business teams to ensure consistent messaging across all external communications.

Media Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 business, technology, and trade media in Hong Kong.
  • Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies that generate high-impact earned coverage for Lenovo's Solutions & Services business.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media alerts, executive statements, and other press materials that communicate Lenovo's business milestones, product announcements, partnerships, customer successes, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Manage media inquiries, interviews, press briefings, and executive engagements.
  • Collaborate with external PR agencies to develop compelling media narratives, story angles, and integrated communications campaigns.
  • Monitor media coverage, identify emerging opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations to strengthen Lenovo's brand presence.

Thought Leadership & Content

  • Develop thought leadership campaigns that position Lenovo as an AI and solutions leader.
  • Create compelling content including executive bylines, articles, customer stories, opinion pieces, and media pitches.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts and agency partners to translate complex technology topics into engaging business-focused content.
  • Support paid and earned amplification strategies to maximize content reach among target audiences.

Executive Communications

  • Elevate the profile of Lenovo's Hong Kong-based Solutions & Services leaders through strategic communications, media engagement, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.
  • Develop executive messaging, presentation materials, media briefing documents, and keynote content.
  • Manage executive LinkedIn content strategies that build credibility and industry influence.

Events & Speaking Opportunities

  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities at leading industry conferences, business forums, and technology events.
  • Build relationships with event organizers and industry associations to increase Lenovo's executive visibility.
  • Support keynote presentations, panel discussions, and executive media appearances.

Customer Storytelling

  • Showcase customer success stories that demonstrate measurable business outcomes enabled by Lenovo's Solutions & Services portfolio.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer teams to identify compelling customer references and transform them into external communications assets.
  • Ensure customer-centric messaging is consistently reflected across media, executive communications, and thought leadership content.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 7–10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or executive communications.
  • Experience in the technology, enterprise IT, consulting, or B2B sectors is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing executive thought leadership and media engagement strategies.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Fluent written and spoken Cantonese.
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Established relationships with Hong Kong Tier 1 business and technology media.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong executive presence and experience working with senior business leaders.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing PR agencies and cross-functional communications programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global matrix organization.
  • Strong understanding of digital communications, LinkedIn thought leadership, and integrated media strategies.
