Role Overview
The Senior Pre-Sales Solution Architect, Hybrid Cloud & AI is a customer-facing technical expert responsible for designing, positioning, and supporting Lenovo’s Hybrid Cloud and AI solutions across enterprise customer engagements. This role partners closely with sales, delivery, and solution teams to translate customer needs into technically sound, business-aligned architectures that drive successful outcomes.
Operating as part of the regional pre-sales organization, this role plays a critical part in deal shaping, solution design, and technical credibility—supporting complex opportunities from early discovery through proposal and close.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Engagement
- Partner with regional sales teams to support qualified opportunities and strategic accounts.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers to understand business requirements, technical environments, and desired outcomes.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, from discovery through solution validation.
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design Hybrid Cloud and AI architectures incorporating infrastructure, cloud, data, and AI technologies.
- Develop solution concepts, architectures, and technical designs aligned to customer needs and Lenovo capabilities.
- Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and commercially viable.
Pre-Sales Execution
- Support proposal development including technical responses, architectures, and solution narratives.
- Participate in customer presentations, technical workshops, and solution reviews.
- Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation.
Technical Credibility & Enablement
- Maintain deep technical knowledge of Hybrid Cloud, AI, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Stay current on Lenovo portfolio offerings and partner ecosystems.
- Contribute to regional and global best practices, reusable assets, and enablement content.
Deal Quality & Governance
- Ensure technical accuracy, feasibility, and clarity in all customer-facing materials.
- Support deal reviews and presales governance processes as required.
- Balance customer requirements with delivery realities and commercial considerations.
Scope & Working Model
- Individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibilities.
- Works under the guidance of the Regional Director, Hybrid Cloud & AI Pre-Sales.
- Supports multiple opportunities and accounts within an assigned region.
- High level of customer interaction; role is predominantly external-facing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Hybrid Cloud, AI, infrastructure, and enterprise architectures.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales engagements.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
