Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements for Colombia, participating in period-end closings, with greater involvement during the annual closing process.
• Perform general ledger (GL) account reconciliations and support the analysis of accounting differences.
• Assist in accounting reviews in COP and USD, including USD/COP currency conversion analysis for reporting purposes.
• Support the preparation of financial analyses, impairment calculations, and technical memorandums under specific IFRS standards, under guidance from senior team members.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, including coordination with auditors and preparation of supporting documentation.
• Prepare and assist with local regulatory reporting, including:
  • Reports for DANE
  • Reports for the Superintendence of Companies (Supersociedades)
  • Foreign exchange reporting (“exógena cambiaria”) and monthly reporting to the Central Bank (Banco de la República – Banrep)
• Support Transfer Pricing activities, including data collection, analysis, and documentation.
• Assist with tax-related analysis and reporting, including:
  • Support with magnetic media reporting
  • Municipal and national tax reporting
  • Support in tax filings and presentations
• Coordinate with internal teams, external advisors, and auditors to request, gather, and validate financial and tax information.
• Ensure compliance with Colombian accounting and tax regulations, following established procedures and guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Statutory accounting background with experience focused exclusively on Colombia.
• Experience supporting financial statements in environments with USD as functional currency.
• Solid knowledge of account reconciliations, financial closings, and audit support.
• Good understanding of Colombian tax regulations, with experience assisting in tax analysis and reporting.
• Exposure to Transfer Pricing processes is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and SIIGO.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience or exposure to tax filing processes is a plus.
• English is desirable (not used daily, but required occasionally).
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a regulated accounting environment.
• Detail-oriented profile with strong organizational skills.
