Credit & Treasury Specialist
Location: São Paulo, Brazil

Position Summary
The Credit & Treasury Specialist is responsible for managing customer credit risk, supporting treasury operations, and partnering with commercial and finance teams to enable profitable growth while protecting the company's financial assets. This role plays a key part in credit analysis, exposure monitoring, collections support, cash management, and banking relationships across the Brazilian operation.
Key Responsibilities
Credit Risk Management
- Conduct financial analysis of new and existing customers, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reviews.
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Monitor credit exposure, utilization, and compliance with company policies.
- Review customer aging reports and support collection strategies to minimize bad debt.
- Partner with Sales teams to facilitate business growth while maintaining acceptable risk levels.
- Collaborate with credit insurance providers regarding customer coverage and exposure limits.
- Identify potential credit risks and recommend mitigation plans.
Treasury Operations
- Support daily cash management and liquidity monitoring activities.
- Assist with payment processing, cash forecasting, and bank account administration.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on treasury-related activities and controls.
- Support foreign exchange, banking, and financing activities when required.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners and internal finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with treasury policies, controls, and audit requirements.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare management reports related to credit exposure, collections, customer risk, and cash positions.
- Analyze financial trends and recommend actions to improve working capital performance.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Excel and other analytics platforms.
- Support regional and global finance initiatives with data-driven insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Collections, and Operations teams.
- Provide financial guidance to business partners regarding customer credit decisions.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience 2–5 years of experience in Credit Analysis, Treasury, Financial Risk Management, Accounts Receivable, or Corporate Finance.
Experience analyzing financial statements and customer credit profiles.
- Experience working in multinational environments is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Knowledge of credit risk management methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Power BI knowledge is a plus.
- English: Advanced
