■About the organization and team
• Motorola Mobility Japan is responsible for the all mobile device business( smartphone, tablet, chromebook, PC, etc.) in Japan market. The team is closely working with Asia Pacific HQ in India.
• The products are delivered through mobile network operators (MNO) and retailers.
• Total team members are around 25 members.
■Job Objective
• This role would be responsible for end-to-end marketing for the Motorola brand across phone and non-phone business in JAPAN.
■Job Description
• End to End Marketing Campaign Planning for JAPAN’s product and brand campaigns.
• Marketing communication planning, development and localization.
• Drive paid media through - Media planning, execution and optimization for all product lines on all relevant channels.
• Develop and execute corporate communication and product PR to drive earned media consistently.
• Lead influencer campaigns to build consideration and purchase intent for the brand and products.
• Lead end to end retail marketing.
• Plan and execute events for new launches and/or tentpole moments for the brand.
• Lead marketing discussions and plans with MNOs and Retail partners to maximise co-marketing initiatives and drive higher SOV through partner channels and investments.
• Think innovatively to drive higher share of voice (SOV) with lesser share of expense (SOE)
• Maintaining our social media presence across all digital channels, measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals.
• CRM and own media management (website, social platforms etc.)
• Develop and monitor campaign budgets.
• Management and coordination with all relevant internal (Finance, SCM, eCom, Product - Japan and global) and external stakeholders (Media agency, creative agency, PR agency, ecommerce partner)
• Drive and deliver on brand and marketing metrics (search, awareness, consideration, Preference) that enable and result in driving the business metrics for the region (Profitable and rapid revenue growth)
• Drive, Track, Monitor and report consumer insights through consumer research, consumer reviews/comments (Social and eCommerce) and Sentiment (Social)
• Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners to ensure brand deliverables.
■Requirement
Must to have
• Experience leading integrated marketing communications, including campaign planning, media strategy and localization.
• Strong revenue-driven marketing expertise with a focus on sell-out and mid- to lower-funnel marketing.
• Experience working with channel partners and retailers to develop and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) and co-marketing activities.
• Strong understanding of marketing and business metrics, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and marketing ROI.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional, regional and global teams.
• Strong business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams.
Better to Have
• Smartphone, telecom, MNO/MVNO or consumer electronics industry experience.
• Experience with retail/trade marketing and carrier business.
• PR, influencer marketing, CRM and owned media management.
• Consumer insights, eCommerce and social listening.
• AI-enabled marketing and marketing technology.
• Understanding of P&L and business KPIs.
• Curiosity for emerging technologies and consumer trends.
