Description and Requirements

The Sr. Account Manager – R&D will be responsible for driving business growth across strategic R&D accounts within IDG (Intelligent Devices Group) and ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group). The role focuses on enterprise account management, solution selling, and building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in engineering and R&D-led organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow assigned R&D/engineering accounts across IDG & ISG portfolios
  • Drive revenue, margin, and market share for PCs, workstations, servers, storage, and solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and acquire new logos
  • Engage with CXOs, CTOs, engineering heads, and procurement teams to understand business needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, product, technical, and partner ecosystem) to design customized solutions
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycle, including opportunity identification, proposal development, negotiations, and closure
  • Drive pipeline generation and maintain accurate forecasting in CRM tools
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business

Key Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise / account management / solution sales
  • Strong exposure to R&D accounts and Expansion
  • Proven experience in selling IT infrastructure, end-user computing, or data center solutions
  • Strong understanding of IDG & ISG offerings (devices, servers, storage, hybrid cloud, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive strategic conversations
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with OEMs , system integrators, or engineering-focused accounts
  • Background in handling high-value enterprise or strategic accounts
  • Exposure to solution-based selling and partner-driven sales model
