Description and Requirements

We are hiring a Product Engineer Intern to join our growing manufacturing team at Lenovo's NCSC Whitsett site. This onsite internship offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, apply knowledge in a manufacturing environment, and contribute to production and process-improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support engineering and manufacturing activities related to production operations.
  • Assist in analyzing production processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze manufacturing data.
  • Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and other production documentation.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work onsite at the NCSC Whitsett site 40 hours a week and support the assigned first- or second-shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, project experience, or previous exposure related to engineering, manufacturing, or production operations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes or continuous-improvement practices.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, or presenting data.
  • Interest in gaining hands-on experience in a production environment.
