Description and Requirements

Join us at the forefront of AI innovation. We’re redefining what’s possible with GPU-powered, datacenter-scale infrastructure—and we’re seeking a Junior Rack Scale Engineer to join our rack Solution development team. In this high-impact role, you will contribute to the design, integration, and validation of large-scale compute, storage, and networking rack solutions tailored for the global Cloud Service Provider (CSP) market. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, ensuring that integrated rack systems meet the rigorous demands of modern data centers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Foundational understanding of x86/ARM server architecture, high-speed networking (Ethernet), and Linux OS environments.
  • Proficiency in Python or scripts for automating repetitive test tasks and data collection.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex technical issues into clear reports.
  • The ability to grasp new technologies and concepts such as hardware protocols and software stacks rapidly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Heterogeneous Computing and GPU software interfaces such as NVIDIA CUDA or AMD ROCm, switch network OS like SONIC

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lenovo is unable to provide sponsorship for employment visas now or in the future for this position (including CPT/OPT).

This role is based in Morrisville, North Carolina. Three days in-office are required each week to align with Lenovo's 3/2 hybrid in-office policy.
