We are seeking an experienced Senior Apps Presales Solution Architect to drive application solution design, bid strategy, and technical leadership across Government deals and projects, with a strong focus on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) integrations and software modernization.

As a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping end-to-end application and software solutions, responding to public sector tenders, and supporting business growth through innovative architectures. The ideal candidate combines deep software and COTS expertise with commercial acumen and a proven track record in presales engagements within system integrators or technology service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end solutioning activities for enterprise application development, COTS implementation, software customization, and modernization opportunities.

• Engage customers to understand business requirements, operational challenges, and digital transformation objectives.

• Develop high-quality technical proposals, application architectures, implementation approaches, and integration designs.

• Design scalable, secure, and compliant software solutions aligned with Singapore Government (such as GCC/GCC 2.0 standards) and enterprise requirements.

• Provide technical leadership throughout the sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification to contract award.

• Lead technical responses for RFPs, RFQs, ITTs, and government tenders focusing on application and software scopes.

• Collaborate with sales, delivery, operations, and technology partners to develop competitive and differentiated proposals.

• Own solution costing, sizing, licensing models, risk assessment, assumptions, dependencies, and technical compliance matrices.

• Participate in proposal reviews, customer presentations, and tender clarification sessions.

• Support commercial negotiations and bid activities.

• Architect solutions leveraging COTS products, enterprise software, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native application patterns.

• Evaluate, recommend, and design integration strategies between legacy systems and modern COTS/custom applications.

• Recommend best practices for application governance, data security, resilience, and operational excellence.

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and internal teams regarding application strategies.

• Build strong relationships with software vendors, independent software vendors (ISVs), and strategic partners.

• Collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure a successful transition from presales to implementation.

• Mentor junior architects and presales consultants where required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Application Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, Presales Engineering, or Technical Consulting roles.

• Proven hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and integrating COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software solutions within large enterprise or government environments.

• Proven experience working within a System Integrator, Managed Services Provider, Software Vendor, or Technology Consulting environment.

• Strong track record supporting public sector and enterprise application transformation projects.

• Hands-on experience in tender responses, bid management, and customer-facing presales engagements.

• Experience designing and presenting complex multi-million-dollar software and application solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to balance technical depth with business consideration.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Good understanding of software licensing models, cloud hosting costs, sizing, and effort estimation.
