Description and Requirements

The Program Manager, RD, will lead end-to-end development programs for hyperscale customers, driving execution from requirements definition and product qualification through New Product Introduction (NPI), product launch, and sustaining phases. This role serves as the primary customer interface and collaborates with global engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to deliver innovative rack-level infrastructure solutions on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Lead the complete lifecycle of Rack Solution programs from customer requirements gathering through product qualification, NPI, launch, and sustaining support.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor program scope, schedule, cost, and quality metrics, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Manage program changes and ensure all updates are documented, communicated, and executed effectively.

Customer Engagement

  • Act as the primary program interface for North American hyperscale customers.
  • Drive regular customer communications and status reviews, ensuring alignment on program objectives, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable development plans.
  • Escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction and delivery commitments.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Coordinate development activities across global teams located in Taiwan, the United States, and other regions.
  • Facilitate effective communication and decision-making across geographically dispersed stakeholders.

Technical Program Leadership

  • Develop a strong understanding of server hardware platforms, including compute, storage, GPU, networking, and cooling technologies.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to address customer-specific technical requirements and design challenges.
  • Ensure products meet applicable industry standards, quality expectations, and customer specifications.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency, scalability, and product quality.
  • Prepare and deliver program reviews, executive updates, and customer-facing reports.
  • Monitor program budgets, including NRE and material expenditures, and support resource planning activities.

Skills & Experience

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or engineering program leadership.
  • Proven experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within server, storage, networking, datacenter, or hardware industries.
  • Strong customer-facing experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale customers.
  • Excellent project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with global cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

  • Experience with rack-level solutions, datacenter infrastructure, AI servers, GPU platforms, or cloud technologies.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Background working with ODM/OEM development environments.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, and product lifecycle management.
