Senior Key Account Manager – Public Sector (South Germany) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Key Account Manager to join our Public Sector sales team in Bavaria. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of public sector customers, developing trusted relationships, and driving new business opportunities. Working closely with the Inside Account Manager and cross-functional Lenovo teams, you will deliver innovative end-to-end solutions across Lenovo's portfolio of devices, infrastructure, services, and software to help customers address their most complex business challenges.


Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a defined portfolio of public sector accounts, taking full responsibility for customer relationships, sales strategy, proposals, pricing, and overall account management.
  • Identify, develop, and win new business opportunities, with a strong focus on public tenders and expanding existing customer relationships.
  • Understand customers' business objectives and translate their requirements into tailored Lenovo solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, technical specialists, business partners, and other cross-functional teams to develop winning customer solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including opportunity development, forecasting, negotiations, order management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels and effectively present Lenovo's value proposition.
  • Coordinate internal resources to address customer requirements, resolve challenges, and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly sales targets while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful B2B sales or key account management experience, preferably within the IT or technology industry.
  • Proven experience managing public sector customers and participating in public procurement and tender processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of consultative sales methodologies, account planning, and contract negotiations.
  • Established business network within the public sector and relevant partner ecosystem is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise IT solutions and the ability to position Lenovo's portfolio against competitors.
  • Experience working with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, combined with a proactive, entrepreneurial, and customer-first mindset.
