What you'll be doing:
As an integral member of the Shock & Vibration / Package Design team, you will be responsible for:
Delivering mechanical structural analysis reports and developing mitigation plans to address identified design defects.
Evaluating mechanical structures using FEA tools (e.g., LS-DYNA, HyperWorks, Abaqus) and providing comprehensive design risk assessment reports.
Conducting reliability testing using structural test equipment, including shock tables, vibration tables, package drop machines, spectrum analyzers, and related instruments.
Supporting validation testing, including material preparation, system setup, and schedule tracking.
Designing cushioning solutions and packaging for server and storage systems.
Executing on-site mechanical reliability validation.
Developing and maintaining structural and packaging-related specifications, SOPs, and work instructions (WI).
Driving mechanical-related research initiatives and facilitating technical workshops.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineer, mechanics, or equivalent experience beyond.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical development, structure analysis, FEA, or packaging development.
- Familiar reliability validation testing and the industry spec in the mechanical structure field.
- Familiar vibration theorem and enable for spectrum analysis by acquisition facility.
- Comfortable presenting to technical audiences in English language.
- Strong relationship management skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across many levels of a matrixed organization.
