Job Title: AWS and Azure IT Consultant – L2 (Cloud Deployment & Operations Support)
Location: Singapore (Onsite)
Employment Type: Permanent
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AWS and Azure IT Consultant (L2 level) to support Day-2 cloud operations and assist in cloud deployment projects, primarily on AWS. The ideal candidate shall work in a Singapore Government environment under the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) framework, managing infrastructure and services in accordance with IM8 and GovTech security policies. The role demands strong professional implementation and operational skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage demanding customers with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Deployment & Project Support (Day-1):
- Implement/Support new infrastructure provisioning on GCC AWS and GCC Azure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) or manual services,
- Partake in planning and execution of migration and upgrade exercises for infrastructure services (e.g, OS, Databases) on GCC AWS and GCC Azure,
- Apply governance, access controls, and logging solutions in compliance with GCC/IM8 guidelines,
- Support onboarding of new business systems, operational systems, services, or enhancements to existing cloud environment.
Cloud Operations Support (Day 2):
- Manage AWS or Azure infrastructure services and resources,
- Perform daily health checks, monitoring, patching, and backup tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, including system performance issues, using AWS/Azure native tools and logs.
- Handle service requests, access controls, IAM policies, and change requests through ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Apply security configurations, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls in line with Singapore Government standards.
- Support multi-account cloud environments with tagging and cost optimization practices.
- Collaborate with Security and SOC teams on incident response and governance.
- Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and maintain environment documentation and SOPs.
Key Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, CloudTrail, ELB, Route 53, Lambda.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure: vNet, VMs, Storage, Monitor, RBAC, Azure AD.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Scripting for automation: Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Familiar with ITIL practices (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Experience with system backup, patching (OS and applications),
- Operating System (Microsoft Windows, RHEL) security-hardening based on CIS benchmarks,
- System or infrastructure software (eg. IIS, Apache HTTP, Active Directory) security-hardening based on vendor best practices or industry benchmarks.
Certifications (Preferred but not Mandatory):
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- ITIL v4 Foundation
Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in cloud support and deployment.
- At least 3 years of hands-on operational experience in production AWS environments.
- Prior experience in projects involving Singapore Government or Public Sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with GCC/GovTech architecture, data classification policies, and IM8 framework is a strong advantage.

Additional Information:
- Candidate must be eligible to work in Singapore and willing to undergo the security clearance.
- Candidate shall have to support off-hours incidents or on-call rotations for business-critical and operational-critical workloads.
