Role Overview

As a Solution Architect, you will lead end-to-end solution design for enterprise data, analytics and AI programs — translating client business challenges into credible, buildable and scalable solutions. You will own the technical solution during presales, shape proposals and estimates, lead proof-of-concepts and demonstrations, and hand over coherent designs to delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data, analytics, AI and generative AI opportunities across cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments.

• Translate client business requirements into target-state solutions covering data platforms, integration, governance, analytics, ML/GenAI and operations.

• Design solution blueprints, reference architectures, high-level designs and technical estimates for proposals.

• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks across Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Lenovo Hybrid AI and adjacent ecosystems.

Presales & Proposal

• Own the technical solution in RFI/RFP responses, bids and workshops; lead solution shaping, estimation and risk assessment.

• Prepare and present solution demonstrations, proof-of-concepts and technical value stories to client stakeholders.

• Collaborate with practice leads, consultants and architects to build compelling, commercially sound propositions.

• Support negotiation of technical scope, assumptions and delivery approach with clients and partners.

Technical Leadership

• Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility studies and design reviews for opportunities and ongoing engagements.

• Define architecture standards, design principles and reusable solution assets for the practice.

• Mentor architects and engineers; champion modern data, AI and platform engineering practices.

• Bridge presales and delivery — ensure seamless handover and continuity between proposal and implementation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, data architecture or enterprise technology consulting.

• Strong knowledge of modern data and AI solution patterns including lakehouse, data warehouse, semantic layer, data mesh, data products and generative AI.

• Working knowledge of data management frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, covering data governance, metadata management, data quality and master data management.

• Hands-on or architecture experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Snowflake or equivalent platforms.

• Excellent client communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex solutions for executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing end-to-end solutions for regulated or complex enterprise environments.

• Experience leading bids, proposals and presales for data, analytics or AI programs.

• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CDMP, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Databricks Data Engineer/ML Associate, Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), SnowPro Core or equivalent.

• Domain knowledge in one or more key industry verticals (e.g. financial services, government, retail, logistics), including reference architectures and data/AI use case patterns.

• Working proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus for Hong Kong and Greater China engagements.
