Lenovo Capital & Incubator Group (LCIG) is the global venture capital and innovation arm of Lenovo. We invest in over 300 companies at early-stage across AI, computing, manufacturing /robotics, energy and healthcare, while working closely with Lenovo’s global business groups to drive value creation. Lenovo Capital is seeking a highly motivated intern to support the team's investment activities. This internship offers hands-on exposure to venture capital investing at the intersection of technology, operation and finance. The intern will work closely with experienced investors on market research, deal analysis, strategic initiatives, and fund operation with opportunities to engage across different geographies and technology sectors.
Job Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Screening: Identify and screen early- and growth-stage companies aligned with Lenovo Capital's investment focus; help build and maintain a network of founders, co-investors, and industry contacts.
- Due Diligence & Investment Analysis: Support business, financial, and technical due diligence on prospective investments; help build financial models and prepare investment memos, valuation analyses, and investment committee materials under the guidance of senior team members.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track the performance and key milestones of portfolio companies; help prepare periodic portfolio updates and support the collaboration between portfolio companies and Lenovo's business groups.
- Market & Industry Research: Conduct ongoing research on technology trends, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics within covered sectors to support investment decision-making.
- Operational Support: Support senior investment team members in daily operational tasks, following up on operations and material creation to ensure smooth deal flow.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering (Computer Science preferred) or currently pursuing an MBA.
- Analytical & Cognitive Skills: Strong analytical and research skills; strong logical thinking and a fast learner with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, eager to build rapport, network, and articulate ideas clearly.
- Technology & AI Proficiency: Solid understanding of and deep curiosity for technological trends; must possess a good understanding of modern AI technology and actively use AI tools in daily workflows.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Prior experience or exposure to startups, venture capital, consulting, or corporate strategy is highly preferred. Experience with software engineering, data analysis, or financial modeling is a strong plus.
