About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager, Financial Services to drive strategic growth initiatives, develop new business opportunities and build partnerships that expand the reach and impact of our financial services portfolio.
This is a high-impact role requiring close collaboration with global and regional stakeholders across business, product, engineering, operations, legal, finance, risk and other cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will identify growth opportunities, evaluate market potential and bring new business initiatives from concept to execution.
The ideal candidate is passionate about financial services innovation and has experience operating within dynamic environments involving digital payments, lending, embedded finance, banking, fintech and adjacent industries.
Position Summary
As a Business Development Manager, Financial Services, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and supporting business expansion initiatives across the financial services ecosystem.
You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders across product, engineering, operations, finance, legal and risk teams to evaluate market opportunities, develop business cases and execute commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategic Growth
  • Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities that support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics and growth opportunities.
  • Develop commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic stakeholders across the financial services ecosystem.
  • Evaluate new business models, market segments and service offerings to support long-term growth.
Partnership Development
  • Support the identification, assessment and onboarding of strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define partnership objectives, commercial frameworks and implementation plans.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, partnership frameworks and business models aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive contract discussions and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful partnership implementation.
  • Monitor partnership performance and identify opportunities to strengthen business outcomes.
  • Foster strong working relationships with key external stakeholders.
Business Planning & Strategy
  • Develop business cases, financial models and investment recommendations for new initiatives.
  • Assess the commercial viability, operational feasibility and strategic fit of potential opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support strategic planning activities and long-term growth initiatives across the organization.
Cross-Functional Execution
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal and Risk teams to execute strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support go-to-market planning and execution for new products, services and business initiatives.
  • Track initiative performance and recommend optimization opportunities.
Performance Management
  • Define and monitor key business performance indicators.
  • Analyze business results, market developments and customer insights to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop recommendations to enhance growth, operational efficiency and customer value.
  • Support the creation of performance reporting and management dashboards.
Basic Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Strategy, Financial Services, Fintech, Banking, Payments, Lending or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience building business cases, financial analyses and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience driving terms and conditions and contract sign in
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams in complex organizations.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in digital payments, consumer finance, lending, embedded finance, banking, fintech or related financial services sectors.
  • Experience supporting global business initiatives across multiple markets.
  • Familiarity with product commercialization, go-to-market strategies and partnership-led growth models.
  • Understanding of regulatory and competitive dynamics within financial services.
  • Experience working in technology-driven or innovation-focused organizations.
