Why Work at Lenovo
Description and Requirements
The Portfolio Enablement Manager – HCS & AI is responsible for bridging global offering/product management teams and the Asia Pacific sales organization. This role ensures that new and existing offerings within the Hybrid Cloud Solutions (HCS) and AI portfolio are commercially ready, well-understood by sales, and positioned for successful adoption in the region. The role acts as the voice of Asia Pacific into global offering development, and as the enabler that turns global offerings into field-ready, sellable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Offering Pipeline & Global Alignment
- Work closely with global offering/product management teams to maintain visibility into the offering roadmap and upcoming pipeline for HCS & AI.
- Actively participate in offering development calls/reviews as the Asia Pacific representative.
- Voice out regional gaps, requirements, or use cases not currently addressed in the global offering construct, and advocate for their inclusion.
- Flag region-specific compliance, localization, or market requirements early in the offering lifecycle.
2. Commercial & Systems Readiness
- Ensure part numbers, pricing, and cost structures are correctly set up and available in relevant systems (CPQ/pricing tools/ERP) ahead of or aligned with launch timelines.
- For custom or non-part-number-based solutions, define and document a clear costing/pricing path and approval process so sales can quote confidently.
- Partner with pricing, deal desk, and offering teams to resolve gaps or blockers in commercial readiness.
- Maintain a tracker/status view of offering commercial readiness across the portfolio.
3. Sales Enablement Content & Tools
- Ensure all marketing and sales collateral (battlecards, pitch decks, pricing guides, FAQs, competitive positioning) is available, current, and accessible to the sales team ahead of or at launch.
- Identify content gaps and work with marketing/offering teams to close them.
- Act as a central point of contact for sales queries on offering positioning, pricing structure, and availability.
4. Ramp-Up Programs & Training
- Design and drive enablement programs (playbooks, launch kits, structured onboarding paths) to ramp up sales on key/strategic offerings.
- Deliver or coordinate training sessions (live, virtual, or self-paced) for the sales team on new and existing offerings as needed.
- Measure and track enablement effectiveness (e.g., quota attainment on enabled offerings, pipeline etc.,).
- Gather field feedback post-training/post-launch and feed it back into the global offering teams to inform iteration.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the connective layer between global offering management, regional sales, marketing, pricing/deal desk, and operations.
- Escalate systemic blockers (pricing not loaded, missing collateral, part number issues) and drive them to resolution with appropriate urgency.
- Maintain a regional offering readiness calendar/dashboard visible to sales leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of AI OR information technology (MBA a plus).
- 8–12+ years of experience in sales enablement, portfolio/product management, offering management, or related GTM roles — ideally within enterprise technology, hybrid cloud, or AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructure and/or AI solution portfolios (products, services, or platforms).
- Experience working with pricing/costing systems, part number structures, and CPQ or quoting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across global and regional teams, including with product/offering management.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong stakeholder management — comfortable representing regional interests in global forums.
- Ability to translate complex/technical offering details into sales-friendly language and tools.
- Program/project management skills to run enablement initiatives end-to-end – good to have
- Comfortable with ambiguity — especially in defining pricing paths for non-standard/custom solutions.
