Description and Requirements



The Sr. Import-Export Specialist coordinates customs reporting, compliance activities, and import/export operations to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency. The role oversees reporting processes, supports customs operations, and collaborates with authorities, brokers, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong customs expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex processes in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and timely submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly customs and regulatory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Execute control activities within reporting processes, identify discrepancies, document findings, and escalate risks as appropriate.
  • Oversee import and export statistics, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate customs declaration activities, export documentation controls, and customs authority decision processing and archiving.
  • Monitor customs-related financial and operational processes, including logistics cost validation, deposit account management, and invoice reviews.
  • Drive resolution of customs operational issues, shipment exceptions, export cancellations, inventory discrepancies, and system-related deviations in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support process improvements through monitoring tariff classification updates, coordinating required system changes, and participating in regulatory and business testing activities.
  • Provide professional guidance to team members and act as deputy for the Sr. Import-Export Manager to ensure compliant and uninterrupted operations when required.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, Customs Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in customs, import/export operations, international trade compliance, or logistics.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of customs regulations, import/export documentation, customs declarations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, external service providers, customs brokers, and government authorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing operational data, reports, and compliance controls.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, customs compliance tools, Microsoft Excel, and reporting applications.
  • Professional working proficiency in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently.
