Description and Requirements
Lenovo’s Solutions & Services Group (SSG) is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Project Manager to support our Strategic Alliances & Partnerships organization. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Alliances & Partnerships, you will drive governance, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across Lenovo’s most strategic technology partnerships.
Working closely with Alliance Directors and teams across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Finance, Operations, GEOs, and partner organizations, you will translate alliance priorities into actionable plans, ensure execution aligns with business objectives, and provide the visibility, reporting, and insights needed to drive successful outcomes. This is a high-impact global role for someone who thrives in complex environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and enables scalable execution across strategic partner ecosystems.
What You Will Do:
Alliance Portfolio & Project Management
- Partner with Strategic Alliance Directors to transform alliance priorities into actionable business plans, defining milestones, timelines, ownership, dependencies, and measurable success metrics.
- Drive and coordinate cross-functional execution across Sales, Marketing, Offerings, Delivery, Finance, GEO teams, and strategic partners to ensure successful delivery of alliance initiatives and commitments.
- Monitor portfolio progress, track risks, dependencies, and execution gaps, proactively resolving issues and escalating critical blockers when leadership support is required.
- Act as a key orchestrator across stakeholders, ensuring alignment, accountability, and smooth execution of strategic alliance programs from planning through delivery.
Governance & Business Operations
- Design and manage the Strategic Alliances governance framework and Business Management System (BMS), ensuring a structured operating rhythm and alignment across stakeholders.
- Lead the preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of monthly business reviews, executive reviews, pipeline and growth discussions, solution checkpoints, and leadership updates.
- Maintain governance calendars, decision logs, action trackers, and review inputs, ensuring meetings remain organized, timely, and focused on driving decisions and outcomes.
- Establish scalable PMO processes, reporting standards, templates, AI-enabled operating practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, automate recurring activities, strengthen governance, and support long-term alliance success.
What You Will Need:
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, Business Operations, Sales Operations, Partner or Alliance Operations within a global B2B technology, services, or IT environment.
- Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in large matrix organizations, including executive governance, global operating cadences, and strategic business planning.
- Strong organizational, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive accountability, manage competing priorities, and deliver results without direct authority.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of transforming complex business information into impactful executive-level updates, recommendations, and decision-making materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, using data, metrics, and business insights to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support strategic decisions.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, automation, and digital productivity tools, applying them responsibly to improve reporting, analysis, operational efficiency, and project execution.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting platforms such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools; Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience supporting strategic technology partnerships, alliances, or ecosystem programs involving AI, Cloud, Infrastructure, Software, or Services, combined with a proactive, adaptable, and data-driven approach, PMO/process improvement expertise, and the ability to build trust, create clarity from ambiguity, and confidently influence senior stakeholders across global teams.
