About the Role

This internship opportunity is within Lenovo’s North America Accounting team in our Markham Office. The intern will gain hands‑on exposure to end‑to‑end Record‑to‑Report workflows, month‑end close cycles and financial reporting. You will partner with in‑house accounting specialists to support regional finance operations and build practical knowledge of multinational accounting compliance standards. Lenovo works on a 3:2 hybrid schedule, we'd like this intern in the office with us 3 days a week and two days flex, ideally 40 hrs a week. (We can be somewhat flexible based on class schedules)

Key Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day North America accounting operations and Record‑to‑Report process activities
• Assist with data validation, reconciliation workpapers and supporting documentation for financial reporting
• Help maintain records in compliance with corporate accounting standards and internal control requirements
• Collaborate with internal finance stakeholders and outsourced service providers on assigned deliverables
• Participate in month‑end close activities including data aggregation, report preparation and task follow‑up
• Execute ERP‑related tasks within SAP S/4HANA / SAP ECC, including data lookup and document filing
• Build Excel spreadsheets, compile meeting materials and complete ad‑hoc financial analysis as assigned by team leadership

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business program at a Canadian university; with an expected graduation in 2027 / 2028.
• Solid academic foundation in core accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; hands‑on exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is an asset
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong data aptitude and well‑organized work habits
• Effective English communication skills; comfortable collaborating within cross‑cultural, multi‑time‑zone global teams
• Proactive learning mindset, strong teamwork skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks during peak financial close periods
• Legally authorized to work full‑time in Canada for the entire internship period
